Falling below target hours could indicate that worked time was not entered. Holes in your time calendar can also indicate that time was not entered. If time is missing from a prebill, perhaps it was entered, but never submitted. The following methods can be used to analyze these missing time scenarios.
Finding time that was never entered
Falling below your target number of Hours Worked or Hours to Bill could indicate days where time worked was never entered.
Adding a Heat Map to your View
- In Juris Suite, select Summary in the Views panel.
- Click the Views button at the top right side of the screen and click My Heat Maps.
- Select the type of heat map that you prefer. Hours Worked or Hours to Bill. Clicking your selection will add the heat map to your screen.
Using the Heat Map
- The Heat Map will show daily productivity using colors to indicate how far above or below target values each day’s productivity has reached.
- Make sure to click your name in the Groups panel on the left side of the screen to assure that the Heat Map is showing values for the entire team.
- Hover the mouse over a calendar day to show the values for that day. Double-click a day to open up the time entries for that day.
- Hover the mouse over the color bar at the bottom of the heat map to see the values represented by each color.
- To change the colors used in the Heat Map or to modify your target values, go to Tools > Settings > User Settings.
Holes in your calendar could indicate places where time was worked and never entered.
Opening the Time Entries Calendar
- In Juris Suite, select the My Time button or click View > My Time.
- Click the Calendar tab.
- Review the calendar and look for places where you know time was worked but no entry exists. Looking at the surrounding entries should jog your memory of that day and help you to remember the lost time.
Finding Entered Time was Not Billed
If time was entered but never submitted, it will not be billed. To find time that was entered into the system and never billed follow these steps. Use the Time by Hours View to see the status of all Time Entries and determine if there are existing entries that need to be submitted. Use the Filter in Time Entries if you are searching for missing Time for a particular date, Client, Matter, etc.
Adding Time by Hours to Your View:

- Make sure to click your name in the Groups panel on the left side of the screen to assure that the view is showing values for the entire team.
- Hours that have the status of Draft, Ready to Submit, Pending Approval, Approved, Rejected, and Pending Recording need to be submitted before they can be billed.

-
In Juris Suite, select the My Time button or click View My Time.
