The easiest way to view time entries for a particular timekeeper is to set up and save a filter that shows time entries by timekeeper. The filter can be made even more dynamic by using a Prompt. Instead of hard-coding the timekeeper into the filter, have the filter prompt you for the timekeeper. Then you can use the same filter to view entries for any timekeeper, just enter the appropriate timekeeper when prompted.
To create a Filter with a Prompt:
-
Go to Time Entries (or Expense Entries) by clicking the appropriate button in the bottom left of the screen or by selecting View > My Time or View > My Expenses.
-
Right Click in the All Filters panel and select New Filter.
-
Enter a Name for the Filter such as EntriesByTimekeeper.
-
In the Query Builder, create the query IF Timekeeper = {Prompt}. Note: The expression {Prompt} is listed in the drop down menu in the query builder.
-
Save.
-
A window will appear asking you to enter the timekeeper. Type in the Name or the Timekeeper ID and click OK.
-
The list will be filtered to show only items for the selected Timekeeper.
-
Use the Filter again and again by clicking the filter name in the All Filters panel.
NOTE: If you have not been given rights to view or edit the entries of others, then they will not appear, regardless of the type of filter you create.
