The Export function allows you to export your report into various formats. The formats are listed below with associated tab availability.
- Excel (Preview, Data, Analysis)
- HTML (Preview, Data, Analysis)
- Text (Preview, Data, Analysis)
- CSV (Preview, Data)
- PDF (Preview)
- MHT (Preview)
- Rich Text Document (Preview)

Graphic Document (Preview)
Not all export formats are available in all of the Preview Report tabs. If it is not available, it will be grayed out or not listed.
Excel (Preview, Data, Analysis)
Exporting a report into an Excel spreadsheet is a popular choice. Many people feel more comfortable arranging data in Excel. To export a report in Excel, perform the following:
- Configure the report utilized with the appropriate parameters and conditions. If you need to learn more about report parameters, click here to review the Report Preview functions.
- Depending on what tab you are using from the Preview report function, the Export to Excel function can be accessed by a button on the toolbar or via the File menu item.
- The Export Data (Excel) window will launch prompting you to enter a name for the file. Enter the file name.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.
- Click the Save button.
- After the file has been saved, a view dialogue window will appear asking you if you want to view the report in the exported format. Click the appropriate button.
HTML (Preview, Data, Analysis)
Exporting to HTML is useful if you want to publish the report on a web site to be accessed by a web browser. To export a report as an HTML, perform the following:

Depending on what tab you are using from the Preview report function, the Export to HTML function can be accessed by a button on the toolbar or via the File menu item.
- The Export Data (HTML) window will launch prompting you to enter a name for the file. Enter the file name.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.

Click the Save button.

After the file has been saved, a view dialogue window will appear asking you if you want to view the report in the exported format. Click the appropriate button.
Text (Preview, Data, Analysis)
Exporting to a Text file is a simple format allowing anyone with a Text reader to view it. To export to a text file, perform the following:

Depending on what tab you are using from the Preview report function, the Export to Text function can be accessed by a button on the toolbar or via the File menu item.
- The Export Data (Text) window will launch prompting you to enter a name for the file. Enter the file name.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.

Click the Save button.

After the file has been saved, a view dialogue window will appear asking you if you want to view the report in the exported format. Click the appropriate button.
CSV (Preview, Data)
Exporting to a CSV can be helpful if you need to upload the report information. Many utilities are able to import CSV files. To export to a text file, perform the following:

The next small window will prompt you to choose the separating delimiter.
- Click the OK button after you have made your selection.
- The Export Data (CSV) window will launch prompting you to enter a name for the file. Enter the file name.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.

Click the Save button.

After the file has been saved, a view dialogue window will appear asking you if you want to view the report in the exported format. Click the appropriate button.
PDF (Preview)
Exporting a report to PDF is useful when you want to distribute the report to recipients that do not have access to the reporting function. The PDF format allows anyone with a PC to view the report using the PDF reader program. This could be considered a standard format. To export to a pdf file, perform the following:

Depending on what tab you are using from the Preview report function, the Export to PDF function can be accessed by a button on the toolbar or via the File menu item.

The PDF Export Options window will launch prompting you to enter the following options:
The PDF Export options are for the PDF document features and are NOT directly related to the actual report or the file name. The options are not required. Click the OK button when you have completed making the selections.
- Page range
- Compressed
- Don't embed these fonts:
- Images Quality
- Application
- Author
- Keywords
- Subject
- Title
- Enter the file name or accept the default.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.

Click the Save button.

After the file has been saved, a view dialogue window will appear asking you if you want to view the report in the exported format. Click the appropriate button.
MHT (Preview)
The MHT file export is a specialized file. An .MHT format is an archived Web Page. When you save a Web page as Web archive, the Web page saves this information in Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension HTML (MHTML) format with a .MHT file extension. All relative links in the Web page are remapped and the embedded content is included in the .MHT file. The absolute references or hyperlinks on the Web page remain unchanged and the .MHT file is viewed using Internet Explorer. To export to a MHT file, perform the following:

Depending on what tab you are using from the Preview report function, the Export to MHT function can be accessed by a button on the toolbar or via the File menu item.

The MHT Export Options window will launch prompting you to enter the following options:
The MHT Export options are for the MHT document features and are NOT directly related to the actual report or the file name. The options are not required. Click the OK button when you have completed making the selections.
- Export Mode
- Page Range
- Page Border Color
- Page Border Width
- Title
- Character set:
- Remove carriage returns
- Enter the file name or accept the default.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.

Rich Text (Preview)
Exporting to a Rich Text file is a document format that is usually opened with Microsoft Word. To export to a Rich Text file, perform the following:

- The Export Data (Rich Text) window will launch prompting you to enter a name for the file. Enter the file name.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.

After the file has been saved, a view dialogue window will appear asking you if you want to view the report in the exported format. Click the appropriate button.
Graphic (Preview)
The Export to Graphic format allows you to export to several file versions of a graphic nature. A graphic file is useful for using inside a document or a representation on a web page. To Export to a Graphic File, perform the following:

Depending on what tab you are using from the Preview report function, the Export to Excel function can be accessed by a button on the toolbar or via the File menu item.

The Image Export Options window will prompt you to select which graphic format you want to use.
- After you click the OK button on the Image Export Options window, the Save window will launch prompting you to enter a name for the file. Enter the file name.
- Select the location to save the file using the explorer navigation.

Click the Save button.
