If you are creating a cache from a Windows 7 or SQL Server 2008 box, you must log on as administrator.
When installing Juris Suite, there may be a long delay in creating the cache due to the size of the client database. There is a utility that will pre-populate a cache for the client side application. The steps for the Cache Pre-Population are summarized below.
-
Locate and execute the Juris Utility Prepopulated Cache application on the Juris Suite Server.
The cache export does not include any time and expense entry attachments users may have. If time and expense entry attachments are to be included, there is an additional step that must be performed. See below for details.
- Run the application on the server to create the cache.
- Run the Attachment Add-on export, if necessary.
- Place the file(s) of the cache created in a shared folder that end users can access. This is necessary for each of the clients installed to perform the import.
- Import the cache and attachment add-on files from the client computer on the login page.
- Log into Juris Suite.
Detailed steps are listed below
-
On the Juris Suite Server, navigate to the Juris.Utilities.PrepopulatedCacheCreator application file. You might have to perform a search using Windows Explorer
- Double click the Juris.Utilities.PrepopulatedCacheCreator application file. The Initial Cache Export Utility opens.
-
Select the company, if there is more than one, using the Choose the company combo box.
You will have to perform this step for each company database.
- Browse to a shared folder that the client PC can access. You can type the path manually in the Path to cache export file field, or click the lookup button beside the field and browse to locate the desired folder.
-
Click the Export Cache button.
-
When the process is complete, click OK on the Export Cache Complete window.
