Queries are inquiries based on Schemas chosen. Queries are the specific criteria you want to extract from the database as well as how you want to arrange the information once it is extracted. Queries are also a component when creating a report. Juris Suite comes with many queries already created. They are listed alphabetically and can also be searched. There is also an alpha index located on the right side to quickly access the Query containing the first letter. Queries can contain undefined parameters that allow you to enter criteria, such as date ranges.
Types of Queries in Juris Suite
You can create queries using two different methods.
- Visual - This launches the visual query editor. This will be focused on within the help system.
- Text- The text editor allows you to manually enter Transact Sequel statements (TSQL). You must know SQL to use this function. This help system will give a brief overview of the Text Query editor but will not give complete lessons SQL.
Query Views
Query views offers the same categories as reports and schemas. By default, the view is set to Simple. Below is a table with each view represented.
| View | Result |
|---|---|
| Simple | |
| Detail | |
| Keyword |
Within each of the views you can search for the appropriate report using the Look for entry field. You can also narrowing the reports by using the alphabetic index on the right side of the report widow.
