When doing a Client/Matter lookup, the system often populates the incorrect client or matter data after typing the first few characters of a client or matter code.
To resolve the issue:

Click on the ellipse button on the right side of the entry field in the Client or Matter lookup window.
Below is an example of one of several different Client Matter lookup windows, depending on the task you are performing.

Click on Contains or Starts With (left of the search field) to change your lookup options.
The system remembers your preference after a search has been completed.
