The Client Matter Inquiry area is designed to allow the firm to have easy access to pertinent client/matter information. This information is not only helpful for the firm but is also available at a moments notice should a client inquire about their case details.
The Client Matter Inquiry workspace is divided into three sections: Criteria; Navigation and Results.
Client Matter Inquiry: Criteria
The Criteria section of the Client Matter Inquiry workspace is where you enter the client and matter number you would like to review.
If the client/matter number is unknown you can key in the client name or use the look up feature to search for the client/matter.
After the client number is selected you can select a specific matter number. If no matter number is selected the information displayed will include the selected client number and all of its matters.
After entering the Client and Matter, only the General area will be populated with data. If you select one of the other areas then the corresponding data will be returned. This is to save loading time so you do not have to wait until all information is returned before reviewing the data.
Client Matter Inquiry: Navigation
The navigation pane of the Client Matter Inquiry workspace contains 8 different inquiry options which includes: General; Fees; Expense; Bills; Receipts; Trust; Client Details and Matter Details.
Under each of the Navigation options you will find multiple choices for specific inquiry functions. By right clicking within the Navigation area you can elect to Expand All Items or Collapse all Items.

Client Matter Inquiry: Results
The Results area of the Client Matter Inquiry workspace displays the information requested based on the navigation option selected. Immediately upon entering on a specific client and matter a summary will be displayed.
General
The General selection under navigation provides two different options: A/R and Ledger History. The A/R selections provides the firm with detailed information on all invoices created in the system. The Ledger History area reflects all invoices; receipts and write offs created or entered into the system.
Fees
The Fees selection under navigation includes: Unbilled Details, Billed Details, and A/R Allocations. The Unbilled Details reflects all unbilled time entries for the selected client and matter. The Billed Details reflects all billed time entries for the selected client and matter. The A/R Allocations shows all billed time entries along with the associated bill number and pertinent information such as if the billed time entry has been paid; written off or marked up/marked down.
Expenses
The Expenses selection under navigation also includes: Unbilled Details, Billed Details, and A/R Allocations. The Unbilled Details reflects all unbilled expense entries for the selected Client and Matter. The Billed Details reflects all billed expense entries for the selected Client and Matter. The A/R Allocations shows all billed expense entries along with the associated bill number and pertinent information such as if the billed expense entry has been paid; written off or marked up/marked down.
Any attachments shown in the Unbilled Details or Billed Details tables can be accessed directly from the tables as described in Viewing Expense Attachments .
Bills
The Bills selection under navigation provides two different options: Unpaid Bills and All Bills & A /R Adjustments. The Unpaid Bills selection provides the firm with detailed information on all invoices created in the system that have not yet been paid. The All Bills & A/R Adjustments area reflects all invoices created in the system and write offs that have been applied, if any to the invoices.
Receipts
The Receipts selection under navigation provides two different options: All Receipts and Prepaid Receipts. The All Receipts selection lists all receipts applied to client/matter invoices including prepaid application. The Prepaid Receipts is a listing of all prepaid receipts entered into the system.
Trust
The Trust selection under navigation provides two different options: All Banks and Ledger. The All Banks selection reflects all payments; disbursement and adjustments summarized by period for the client and matter selected. The Ledger options shows all payments; disbursement and adjustments for the Client and Matter selected.
Client Details
The Client Details selection under navigation provides additional Client information relating to: Address(es); UDF's and Note Cards. The Address option lists all addresses established under the selected client record. The UDF's selection lists any UDF's established and utilized under the selected client record. The Note Cards option lists any Note Cards created under the selected Client record. Only Note Cards with text are accessible in Client/Matter Inquiry; those with attachments are not accessible.
Matter Details
The Matter Details selection under navigation provides additional <atter information relating to: Address(es); UDF's and Note Cards. The Address option lists all addresses established under the selected client/matter record. The UDF's selection lists any UDF's established and utilized under the selected client/matter record. The Note Cards option lists any Note Cards created under the selected Client/Matter record. Only Note Cards with text are accessible in Client/Matter Inquiry; those with attachments are not accessible.
