You can attach a note, existing file, or scanned image (of a receipt) to an expense entry in the Draft status.

Verify that the correct expense entry is selected (the one to which you want to add an attachment).
Only entries whose current status is Draft (as listed in the Entry Statuscolumn) can have attachment added to them.
Once selected, the entry itself is highlighted.

Click the Attachments tab at the bottom of the interface.
Any existing attachment are displayed, and several options (shown below) appear on the right side of the tab.

Click one of the following buttons:
- Add Note. Allows you to create a simple text note attachment. Proceed to Adding a Note Attachment below for more information.
- Add File. Allows you to add an existing document or image file attachment. Proceed to Adding a File Attachment below for more information.
- Scan. Allows you to launch your scanner interface and directly attach the scanned image. Proceed to Adding a Scan Attachment below for more information.
Adding a Note Attachment
You can add a simple text file attachment to your expense entry.

Clickthe Add Note button.
The Add Note dialog box appears.
- In the Subject box, type a brief title for the note. This text will appear below the icon representing the note on the Attachments tab.

In the large text box, type the boy (details) of the note.
When complete, your note should appear similar to the example below.

Click OK.
The note is added to the Attachments tab.
Adding a File Attachment
You can add an existing file attachment to your expense entry.

Click the Add File button.
The Open dialog box appears.
- Navigate to the location of the file.

Click the file to select it, and click the Open button.
The file is added to the Attachments tab.
Adding a Scan Attachment
You can scan a physical expense receipt and add it as an electronic attachment.
You must have a scanner to use this option.
- Click the Scan button.
- Scan the document.
- Specify a name for the file created via the scan.

Click the Save button.
The scan file is added to the Attachments tab. It will resemble the other files attached.
