The Juris Deployment Manager Updater Web Service is required for the Juris Deployment Manager, which is an application that polls Juris.com to find published updates to the software, and allows the firm's administrator to elect when to make those updates for available to their users.
Follow the steps below to establish the Deployment Manager Web Service:
- On the Web Server machine, select Control Panel > Admin Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Expand the Web Sites tree and locate the Default Web Site.
- Right Click the Default Web Site and select New > Virtual Directory.

Enter an Alias Name and physical Directory Name as appropriate for the type of Web Service you are creating.

- Select to allow READ, RUN and BROWSE rights.
- Click FINISH.
- Paste the web service files from the installation packet into the physical directory.
- Right-click the virtual directory and select Properties.
- Click the Config button on the Virtual Directory tab.
- Find the .config item in the list and remove it if it exists.
- Click OK.
