Alerts is a tool that allows you to customize notifications on data thresholds. Some common uses for building Alerts are listed below. Alerts are optional and are not an essential component of a Dashboard.

Clicking on the Alerts node in Business Intelligence will bring up the Alerts interface.
The interface functions for Alerts are listed below. More detail on the functions is provided in the Creating Alerts topic.
- Alerts - This area is for listing the alerts that have been created.
- General Information - Located at the top, this area provides the Name and Description of the Alert. You can also toggle whether or not that the alert is Active.

Main Display Area - There are three tabs and a Tool Ribbon.
- Visual Designer - This tab is the canvas to drag and drop the Alert Operators. The Alert Operators and Overview are also available when this tab is being utilized.
- Schedule - This tab contains the parameters for sending the alerts including day and time.
- Code Designer - This tab is where the SQL for the alert is located. This area is for only users that know SQL and the table structure of Juris Suite. This tab will not be covered.
- Tool Ribbon - Allow you to Save, Delete, Copy, Auto Layout, Test Alert, Code functions, Refresh, Import and Export
Alerts Templates is the section of alerts that displays the Juris made Alerts. You can create new Alerts by copying an existing Alert Template and making changes to suit your needs. This is especially useful when you want an alert with slightly different settings. Much of the work is already completed, and thus efficiency is gained. Creating Alerts from a template is discussed in further detail in the Creating an Alert from a Template topic.
The Log function allows you to view logs regarding Alerts. You have choices of viewing in a Simple or Detailed view. You can also change the Period of time that encapsulates an alerting schedule.
