Using the Alert Visual Designer allows you utilize the Alert Operators and construct an Alert. Whether you are creating an alert or editing an alert, the functionality of the Operators are the same.
Adding an Operator the to the Visual Design canvas is simple. To add an Operator, perform the following:
- Based on your Alert plan, select an Operator (remember to begin with Start for every Alert or Alert Template) by using a single left mouse click, and drag it to the canvas. A plus sign will accompany the cursor.
- Release the left mouse button to drop the Operator on to the canvas.
Editing an Operator
Once the Operator has been placed on the canvas you can edit the properties and move it. To move it you need to select it to display the sizing squares around the Operator.
Use the middle movement sizer to move the Operator. The cursor will change to a four way arrow.
To Edit the Properties of an Operator, double click the Operator while it is on the canvas.
To delete an Operator while it is on the canvas, select the Operator then click the Delete key on the keyboard. This is currently the only way to remove an Operator.
