Planning an alert is essential to the creation process. You will want to define how you want the alert delivered, who you want to receive the alert as well as the alert criteria.
First, define what the alert should do. For example, an alert can notify when Aged Accounts Receivables go over a set limit. This type of alert could be used to notify a controller of the firm that clients have unpaid invoices that have exceeded a grace period.
After you have decided on the alert definition, decide who should receive the alert notification. Within Juris Suite, permissions for alerts can be set at the firm, group or user level.
The User permission overrides those at the Group or Firm level.
Specify, the frequency for sending an alert. Utilize the Schedule tab to ensure that critical alerts are sent frequently. Other alerts can be scheduled less frequently.
At times when an alert should trigger, recipients may not be logged into the Dashboard viewer or logged on remotely. Alerts can be sent by email with links to reports or alert information embedded in the email body.
