The OR operator is used to find instances when any one of the searched words are present within the a file record. The OR operator is the default search method, so criteria will be searched using the OR premise when listing a name or phrase. For example, a search for:

Would return matches on the following items:

A search for:

would return the same matches as a search for John OR Anderson, since the OR method is used by default when a name or text string is entered as a keyword - meaning a search for John Anderson is essentially the same as the search John or Anderson.
