The stopwatch (or timer) can be used in the Slip View of the Time Entry Form or in the Grid view of the Time Entry form to record time as it is worked. The time recorded can then be transferred to the Hours Worked field of the entry.

Starting the Stopwatch from the Editor
- The stopwatch buttons are located at the top of the Time entry form:
- The Start Stopwatch is the first button shown. It looks like a clock face with a green arrow. Click the Start Stopwatch button to begin timing using the stopwatch.
- Once the Start Stopwatch button has been selected, the Start Stopwatch button changes tot he Pause Stopwatch button as shown here:
- The stopwatch may be paused and started again without losing previously recorded time.
Starting the Stopwatch from the Grid
- The stopwatch functions are located by right-clicking while within the Hours Worked field of the Time Entry Spreadsheet form.
- Right-click and select Start Timer from the drop-down menu to begin timing using the stopwatch.
- Once the Start Timer option has been selected from the drop-down menu, the Start Timer option changes to Pause Timer.
- The stopwatch may be paused and started again without losing previously recorded time.
Resetting the Stopwatch from the Editor
- The stopwatch buttons are located at the top of the Time entry form:
- The Reset Stopwatch is the second button shown. It looks like a clock face with an orange/red square.
- Click the Reset Stopwatch button to clear the stopwatch timer back to zero.
Resetting the Stopwatch from the Grid
- The stopwatch functions are located by right-clicking while within the Hours Worked field of the Time Entry Grid form.
- Right-click and select Reset Timer from the drop-down menu to clear the stopwatch timer back to zero.
Moving Stopwatch Time to an Entry from the Editor
- The stopwatch buttons are located at the top of the Time entry form:
- The Transfer Time button is the third button shown. It looks like a clock face with an orange/red arrow. Click this button to add the time tracked by the stopwatch to the Hours Worked field of the entry.
- If any time is already present in the Hours Worked field when the Transfer Time button is selected, then the time recorded by the timer would be ADDED to that value.
- Once the Transfer Time button has been selected, the timer in the stopwatch will be emptied (cleared to zero).
Moving Stopwatch Time to an Entry from the Grid View
- The stopwatch functions are located by right-clicking while within the Hours Worked field of the Time Entry Grid form.
- Right-click and select Transfer Time from the drop-down menu to begin timing using the stopwatch.
- If any time is already present in the Hours Worked field when the Transfer Time option is selected, then the time recorded by the timer would be ADDED to that value.
- Once the Transfer Time option has been selected, the timer in the stopwatch will be emptied (cleared to zero).
